All rentals are in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve on Ometepe Island in Lake Cocibolca in Nicaragua with 2 hike-able volcanoes with waterfalls, mineral springs, kayaking in the River Istiam wildlife refuge, prehistoric petroglyphs & zoomorphic statues, organic coffee cooperative, indigenous fishing and farming, history and money museums and so much more!

Beach Casita for 2 guests is a unique small house with a bedroom with a double bed, lounge, kitchen and bathroom with warm water showers,
The Beach Casita = US$85 per night / 3 night minimum
Bella Beach House for up to 5 guests with 2 main floor bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with a single bed) also on the main floor is a lounge with a single bed and Cable TV, kitchen and separate toilet and warm water shower, upstairs is a single bed, 4 way vista and balcony.
The Main Beach House = US$160 per night for 5 guests / 3 night minimum
Both houses have lots of arched screened windows and doors, natural varnished wood, ceiling fans, reading lights and the kitchens can be stocked with the basics for cooking with advance notice. Laundry services available.
The beach houses are surrounded by lush tropical organic gardens and a volcanic rock wall for privacy with just a step to the longest stretch of sandy beach with lots of activities nearby including the petroglyphs, mineral springs, kayak trip, etc.
We invite guests to sample from the organic gardens, offer complementary filtered spring water and with a 4 night stay - homemade desserts.
We have a new clay tiled roof rancho with hammocks, rocking chairs and tables for relaxing meals and siestas outside and we offer beach chairs.
Santa Cruz is reached on paved roads by several public buses daily and there are several small shops and various restaurants along with WiFi cafes - also there are private taxis, bike, motorcycle, fishing boat and horseback rentals nearby.
There is a lot to do nearby and we can help orientate you on transportation, activities and tours.
Near Balgue is the Finca Magdalena organic coffee cooperative, prehistoric petroglyphs and start of the hike to the lookout and lagoon near the top of Volcano Maderas, also the river and natural pools.

Ometepe Island has many rural farming communities with only 2 main towns = Moyogalpa and Altagracia. There are 3 port towns including the 2 larger main towns and San Jose del Sur.
Most tourists travel to San Jorge port on the mainland near Rivas to take a ferry or smaller passenger boat to Ometepe Island - the crossing takes 1 hour.
There are lots of shared taxi vans waiting at all the ports and several public buses which travel to Santa Cruz.
Do not make your Ometepe taxi reservations or tours at the port in San Jorge.
