LivHOME, Inc is a home care provider for seniors operating in seven states of the United States. LivHOME provides non-medical caregiving and care management after a clinical assessment has determined that the applicant need not be moved to a nursing facility and may continue living in his or her own home. LivHOME also provides a companion program.
LivHOME was founded in 1999 by Mike Nicholson and Steve Barlam. Nicholson came from a 25-year career in the staffing and homecare industry while Barlam had founded a care management company in 1989. Nicholson serves as LivHOMEs Chief Executive Officer and Barlam serves as LivHOME’s Chief Professional Officer.
LivHOME is backed by investors that include Scale Venture Partners, Tullis Health Investors, Kline Hawkes and Acacia Capital, Inc.
LivHOME has sought to acquire homecare companies that augment its strategic, national growth efforts. In October, 2008, LivHOME acquired the facilities of AllianceCare, a Florida-based homecare provider, giving the company a presence in Arlington, VA; Silver Spring, MD; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; and Philadelphia, PA.
LivHOME’s caregivers provide assistance to seniors through bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, ambulation, companionship, socialization, housekeeping, errands, transportation and medication oversight.
Care Managers are credentialed experts in geriatric care with specialties in social work, nursing and mental health. They work closely with families to understand their specific situation and develop a care plan to address the client’s needs.
The LivHOME Comfrere Program teams mature adults who share common interests and life experiences with its senior clients, based on their socialization needs. These peers are compatible companions who enrich the lives of LivHOME clients through social interactions.
LivHOME operates in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Texas and Virginia.
