Loch Ness Youth Hostel

Small and friendly Loch Ness Youth Hostel sits on the banks of Scotland’s most famous loch, with wonderful views and a private beach.

Lying about half way between Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit, the youth hostel is in the heart of the Great Glen, with direct access to the loch on one side and pine forests on the other. Although it feels remote, it’s actually very accessible, with regular buses stopping right outside the door.

There’s plenty to see and do nearby, including boat trips, Nessie spotting and visiting historic Urquhart Castle. The Great Glen long distance path passes the door, and the end-to-end Great Glen cycling route is close by. Adventure seekers will love mountain biking, hill walking, wind surfing, paragliding and even skiing on the Nevis Range. The youth hostel is only 30 minutes from Inverness and in a great location for stop-overs or short breaks.

Loch Ness Youth Hostel offers great budget accommodation for individuals, couples and families, with a choice of multi-share or private rooms. It has secure cycle storage, its own wee beach, off-street parking, a spacious self-catering kitchen, laundry and drying area, cosy lounge with piano and dining room with great views over Loch Ness.
