Louis K. Fisher

Lou Fisher litigates complex facts and legal issues on behalf of corporations, legislative bodies, government officials, and other individuals. Lou's practice covers all phases of litigation, with a focus on expert witnesses, dispositive motions, and appeals. His experience spans a variety of subjects including antitrust, contracts, legislative redistricting, and constitutional rights.

Lou focuses on economic expert issues, and related factual and legal issues, in defending mergers from challenge by government regulators. He similarly handles economic damages issues in contract and business tort cases. Lou also defends state and local redistricting legislation against constitutional and statutory claims. His trial experience includes victories in federal voting rights cases and in liability and damages trials against the United States government in the Court of Federal Claims. He also participated in a successful First Amendment challenge to a campaign finance law, as well as a successful defense of an anti-eavesdropping law against First Amendment attack. Acting pro bono, Lou has served as a guardian ad litem and as a supervisor or court-appointed lawyer in other family law matters and in many federal appeals. [1]
