Luis Jiménez-Díaz

Luis Jiménez-Díaz focuses his practice on real estate matters, general planning and construction, administrative procedure, and tax law. He has broad experience negotiating with Spanish governmental authorities and in public procurement. Luis represents clients in urban planning development and reorganization; construction contracts; preparation, drafting, and processing of documents for consent instruments; zoning qualification of lands and properties; and refurbishment and building enlargement processes. He also assists clients in international agreements and environmental matters and advises private developers and large investment funds in transactions in Spain from the initial development stage through project completion.

Luis has advised numerous international funds and multinationals in investments in the analysis and refurbishment of buildings in Spain, including obtaining all permits before the Spanish administrative bodies. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2015 he advised Oak Tree Investments in their interests in the south of Spain and acted for the Thyssen Group in Madrid regarding their new factory in Madrid. [1]
