NYC is an exciting new sparkling wine celebrating the city of New York and people, produced under the M. Lawrence label. This cuvee is produced from Traminette, Riesling and Cayuga wine grapes from various vineyards in Michigan which are hand-harvested and whole-cluster pressed. Only the first two, gently pressed fractions of the juice are used for this cuvee [the harder-pressed juice, which contains more phenols, tannins and acids, is reserved for other wines]. After fermentation the flavorful young wines are blended before being fermented in the cuve close method, producing the delicate natural effervescence. Finished with a Demi-Sec dosage (4.0 % residual sugar) the wine has Muscat-like aromas, rich full flavors; and is full and sweet on the palate balanced by enough acidity to produce a clean finish [+]
