This may be your new favorite Chardonnay! Maldonado’s ‘Los Olivos Vineyard’ Chardonnay is consistently one of the family winery’s best wines, and the 2009 vintage proves to be even richer than in the past, with a little more caramel-nut flavors on the even longer finish. This is a Chardonnay that will seriously wow you! The grapes for this wine are grown and produced from the Los Olivos Vineyard in Napa’s Jamieson Canyon, one of the coolest regions in Napa Valley where the grapes are limited and highly desirable. On the nose, this Chardonnay has complex aromas of pineapple, butterscotch, brown sugar, banana and citrus while the rich palate exudes flavors of fig, honeysuckle, pineapple and citrus with hits of vanilla and toasted almonds. Maldonado’s Chardonnay boasts a mouth-coating creaminess and long, persistent finish that makes it so irresistible, and so distinctive. Wine Spectator says the Maldonado 2008 ‘Los Olivos’ Chardonnay is “Pure, rich and deep, dense and focused, with nectarine, honeysuckle, fig and citrus, gaining depth and dimension on the finish, where the flavors linger.” 100% Chardonnay.
