Mandi Strachota

Mandi Strachota is a songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist based in Atlanta, GA. She began playing her first instrument, the piano, at the age of 4, and has been singing as long as she can remember. Since her introduction to music, Mandi has dabbled in several instruments, including the piano, guitar, drums, saxophone, and violin. She was involved in musical productions and church services throughout high school and college. A year after graduation, Mandi decided to make the journey back to Atlanta to discover the city where she was born. Mandi spent her first few years in Atlanta touring Karaoke clubs and sitting in at jams around town. Then in 2007 she joined the Larry Griffith Band, where she played keyboard and acoustic guitar as well as singing lead and backup vocals. She also began playing solo acoustic gigs around town. After leaving the band in 2013, Mandi began to focus on building her solo career. She released her debut CD Fly on October 2nd of 2013. She now plays several gigs around town, including cover gigs in dive bars and restaurants, as well as performing her original music for some of the ‘listening rooms’ around Atlanta. In addition she has started taking her music on the road, including shows in FL and WI. She has played on some well know stages, such as Northside Tavern, Red Light Cafe, and Blind Willie’s and has opened for national and international acts such as Laura Cantrell and Mudcat. Mandi is currently working on the production of her next CD, Unleashed, targeted for release in 2015.
