Marc Rijkaart van Cappellen's practice includes a broad range of corporate and securities work, with extensive experience in the following areas: joint ventures, international corporate restructuring, equity capital markets transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and financings representing borrowers, mainly for multinational groups and listed companies, with a special focus on the United States and Latin America.

Marc has been involved in a wide variety of complex cross-border acquisitions, investments, and restructurings. He has handled various equity capital markets transactions, including representing international-based companies with their cross-border IPOs. Marc has worked on various notable transactions, including representing Verizon in the third-largest M&A deal in history as Dutch corporate counsel to Verizon Communications, Inc. in its $130 billion acquisition of the 45 percent stake in Verizon Wireless owned by British cell phone carrier Vodafone, including the sale of Verizon's 23.1 percent minority stake in Vodafone Omnitel N.V. to Vodafone for $3.5 billion. He also represented Brazilian meat processing company Marfrig Global Foods S.A. with the $850 million bonds issue by Marfrig's Dutch subsidiary, which bonds were listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
