Maria Elena Huerta Ávila

Mariela Huerta's practice is focused on civil and commercial litigation and commercial arbitration. She has broad experience in corporate and shareholder litigation, as well as in contractual disputes, regarding inobservance and interpretation.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2013, Mariela participated in several proceedings related to infrastructure matters, and she also represented several companies in trials against Pemex (Petróleos Mexicanos, the Mexican state-owned petroleum company). [1]
