Mario Todino

Mario Todino has in-depth experience in mergers, cartels, compliance, state aids, and litigation before the European Union and national courts. He has an extensive background in EU and Italian law, both in the private and public sectors, having previously served in governmental positions in Italy and Brussels, as well as at the European Court of Justice.

Mario has significant knowledge of the energy, chemical, consumer goods, IT, telecom, semiconductor, automotive, mining, pharmaceutical, medical device, financial services, and transportation industries. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2016, he advised leading Italian and international companies such as ENI (oil, gas, and chemicals), Imerys (industrial minerals), FIAT (automotive), Johnson & Johnson (consumer goods and medical devices), GDFSuez (multi-utilities), STMicroelectronic (semiconductors), Fondo Strategico and Cassa depositi Prestiti (state-owned sovereign funds), Bank of Italy, Procter & Gamble (consumer goods), BNL/BNP Paris Bas, San Marino Banking Association, Polish Credit Unions Association, and Estée Lauder (cosmetics).
