Matt Bauer has been entertaining audiences ever since he picked up a microphone at the age of 7. Since then, he has performed on stage for thousands over the following 25 years. Matt debuted his professional performing career singing the National Anthem for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 1998. He also played roles in multiple productions including Forever Plaid, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys and Dolls, One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and understudying as Roger in Nearly Naked Theater’s production of RENT. During this time, Matt fine tuned his comedic timing along with his versatility in acting and stage presence. Between 2001 and 2005, Matt was a featured artist for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life events. At the age of 20, he picked up a guitar and learned to accompany himself expanding his musical repertoire. In 2006, Matt took the stage to open for American Idol’s Brooke White. Throughout his professional singing career, Matt has performed at many weddings, open mic nights, and various venues in the Midwest. In November of 2012, Matt began entertaining internationally for Holland America Line as a singer and solo guitarist aboard their many cruise ships. He is often a featured artist with a specialty show entitled “The Legends: A Tribute to Michael Buble” This show features comedy and a vast array of songs from Buble originals to classics like “Georgia On My Mind”, “Misty”, “Mack the Knife”, and more. In July of 2013, Matt got to fulfill a dream to perform alongside a Tony Award Winning Broadway singer as Laura Benanti’s invited guest to sing “Falling Slowly” from Once- another of Matt’s Broadway favorites. Matt continues to perform his specialty shows both on and off land. He enjoys reuniting with his band, GRAVITY periodically, traveling, and performing in any way possible. [+]
