Matt Schmiesing

Singer-songwriter Matt Schmiesing is an exceptionally robust, dynamic vocalist and is also a proficient instrumentalist, playing piano/keyboard, guitar, bass guitar and drums. His fans most commonly rave about his uniquely compelling, raw and emotion-driven vocals, aptitude for songwriting, and seemingly endless diversity.

Born in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, Matt started playing and writing music at age 11. Having been a “studio” musician for several years, Matt first debuted his music in live venues in 2008 around greater Seattle. He released his first album, “Reaching for the Past,” later that year, which he performed, recorded, and produced on his own. The album received rave reviews from Blue Review Magazine, an internet blog on Since then, Matt has recorded a vast collection of songs, including his recent self-produced/performed single and video “Inside Out.” In January 2012, Matt was an invited musician/guest on a live one-hour radio talk show, “Growing Up”, on WEBE Radio, and in June 2013, joined UAAMUSIC, a Los Angeles-based record company for independent artists.

Matt currently resides in southwest Florida and some of his biggest influences include Pink Floyd, The Beatles; John Lennon, Coldplay, and Elton John.
