Matthew Accornero

Matt Accornero's practice focuses on antitrust and competition, including litigation, government merger and conduct investigations, and counseling clients on competition issues. He has experience in a variety of industries, including health care, consumer products, and high-technology.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2016, Matt was an attorney at the Federal Trade Commission in the Bureau of Competition. During his tenure he led or was actively involved in numerous investigations and litigations involving proposed or consummated mergers, price-fixing, monopolization, tying, and state action claims. He served as a key trial team member in FTC, et al. v. St. Luke's Health System, Inc., et al. and acted as the lead attorney in a pair of invitation to collude cases — In re Nationwide Barcode and In re [1]
