Matthew Ebel

Matthew Ebel is best known for boldly going where no musician has gone before. One of the first acts to become popular in 2004's new Podcasting scene, he was called a pioneer by Adam Curry (credited with co-creating the podcast). Ebel played virtual stages in Second Life and held weekly web-streaming concerts nearly a decade before most musicians had heard of either.

On stage, he's been a featured performer or guest of honor at dozens of geek conventions across the US. With shows ranging from steampunk time travel to intergalactic prison breaks, it'd be easy to pigeonhole Matthew as a niche act… but don't be fooled.

His unique brand of piano rock showcases his 20 years of piano and voice lessons, over a decade of touring, and natural showmanship. He's played shows ranging from small house concerts to Nashville's Grand Ole Opry with Billy Currington. The only question left is what trail Matthew will pioneer next. [+]
