Matthew Van Leeuwen is an associate in the Silicon Valley office of Latham & Watkins.
Mr. Van Leeuwen received his JD, with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law where he served as the student notes editor of the Texas International Law Journal and advised seed stage and early stage startup companies in the Texas Venture Labs program. During law school, Mr. Van Leeuwen interned for Central Texas Angel Network, a network of angel investors in the Austin area, and for the Division of Trading and Markets at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Van Leeuwen also interned for the Honorable Don R. Willett at the Supreme Court of Texas.
Prior to law school, Mr. Van Leeuwen was an analyst at a leading investment firm and worked at a Bay Area startup, developing business strategy and operational plans. Mr. Van Leeuwen received his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business and his BS, cum laude, from Brigham Young University.
