Matthew Conway is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins specializing in executive compensation and employee benefit matters.
Mr. Conway’s practice focuses on counseling clients with regard to employment, compensation and benefit issues arising in corporate transactions. He also regularly represents public and private companies in the negotiation of executive employment, separation, retention and deferred compensation arrangements and the design and implementation of equity-based and other incentive compensation plans. In addition, Mr. Conway prepares executive compensation disclosure for securities filings and advises clients on securities, corporate governance, exchange listing and tax issues relating to executive compensation, including Sections 409A, 162(m), 280G and 83 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Mr. Conway received his BA in economics from the University of Virginia and his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law and Business Review.
