Maureen Bennett

Maureen Bennett represents life science and health care entities in a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, with a particular emphasis on multijurisdictional clinical trials and research collaborations and cross-border M&A and strategic commercial matters, including product supply, manufacturing, and telemedicine arrangements. Her practice also includes a substantial focus on the regulatory compliance and ethical issues associated with the conduct of international clinical research, including patient recruitment, pharmacovigilance, clinical data management, anticorruption, and informed consent issues.

Maureen has managed the negotiation of multiparty clinical research collaboration agreements in more than 50 jurisdictions on every continent, including agreements with hospitals, physician practices, and independent research entities. She also has negotiated master service collaboration agreements with contract research organizations and data management providers to the life sciences industry. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2015, Maureen served as outside counsel on a project for a major U.S. pharmaceutical company in managing the drafting and negotiation of more than 150 clinical study agreements in nine jurisdictions in Central and South America, including managing the related regulatory issues.
