Maximilian P. Krause

Maximilian Krause advises industrial and private equity clients in corporate, transactional restructuring, and insolvency matters, focusing on national and international M&A transactions (acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures) as well as on domestic and cross-border business reorganizations.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Maximilian worked for more than six years in the Munich, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf offices of a leading international law firm. During this time he represented numerous notable companies, including Siemens AG in the carve-out, corporate restructuring, and subsequent disposal of its global IT solutions and services business to Atos Origin in more than 40 countries worldwide, as well as the restructuring of Siemens AG's global communication and network businesses in more than 78 countries worldwide and the contribution of these businesses to joint ventures with Nokia and The Gores Group. In addition, he advised Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH on the corporate restructuring and disposal of its branch Xella International GmbH with 155 subsidiaries and representations in 32 countries worldwide to PAI Partners and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners. He furthermore advised Chequers Capital on the acquisition of the Cordenka/Cordus group from CVC Capital, Akzo Nobel, and the Acordis-Management and was part of a team advising HypoVereinsbank (UniCredit Bank AG) in connection with the financial restructuring of Kion Group.
