Meredith L. Williams

Meredith Williams focuses her practice on advising clients in the fields of health care and intellectual property. She has represented health care providers in qui tam actions and payor disputes, and has successfully procured appropriate reimbursement from health plans under contractual rates in view of state law and federal Medicare guidelines. Her experience includes drafting and responding to pleadings, discovery, and pre- and post-trial motions, researching and analyzing novel issues of law, taking and defending depositions, and preparing matters for trial as well as mediation and arbitration proceedings.

She has assisted clients with trademark and copyright cease and desist efforts and enforcement litigation, as well as provided due diligence analysis of intellectual property rights in the transactional and prosecution/registration contexts. She has also advised clients regarding unfair competition, false advertising, and claim substantiation issues, including compliance with state law and Section 5 FTC regulations. Meredith has contributed to articles on state and federal civil procedure, Lanham Act compliance, and fair use. [1]
