Michael C. Schneidereit

Michael Schneidereit's practice focuses on business solutions for companies facing financial difficulties, including the representation of debtors and creditor constituencies in corporate reorganization and bankruptcy proceedings. He also has broad experience in commercial litigation.

Michael currently represents the litigation trust established by the chapter 11 plan of MF Global in a suit against that company's former officers. He also played a lead role in the representation of an investment fund in a partnership dispute in California state court involving a real estate development. Prior to joining Jones Day in May 2012, Michael represented chapter 11 debtors including the Los Angeles Dodgers and California Coastal Communities and represented creditors or other parties-in-interest in numerous chapter 11 cases including DBSI, Fontainbleau Las Vegas, Hawaii Medical Center, and Namco Capital Group.
