Miller James, founding member and songwriter of Phoenix-based Bad Lucy has returned his focus to simply being a solo artist. His home base of Phoenix, AZ knows him for having a ‘pretty voice’ and sincere and earnest lyrics. Java Magazine’s Mitchell Hillman writes about Miller’s music “It’s clear that lead singer and songwriter Miller wears the influences of Elliott Smith, Jeff Buckley and Ryan Adams on his sleeve and has the talent and vision to back it up.” He’s received national recognition for his song “Forward” which has been featured in the Macy’s Parade with the Paul Frank float since 2011.
