Motion Theatre

Full length record "The Convalescing" available now on iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon, Bandcamp, Spotify, Rhapsody, and more!

Hailing from the mountains of Southern West Virginian Coal Country, Motion Theatre stands out as a group of 5 individuals who have a lot to say about the grandeur that exists inside themselves and around them. With their upbeat guitar melodies intertwined with nostalgia-driven ambiance, they attempt to provide musically what they themselves are searching for… authenticity.

Formed in 2010 from the ashes of two other bands, they released an EP (The Relative Minor) the following year. Following an immediate local groundswell of support, Motion Theatre was ready to branch out and play to whomever was willing to listen. Sharing countless stages with bands of all genres, the band sought to understand more about which direction they really wanted to follow and allowed for influence from all walks of music.

Recently, after 10 days at Earthsound Recording Studio in Valdosta, GA, the band wrapped recording their brand new, entirely self-funded album "The Convalescing".

With breakout singles like “Eleven/Eleven” and “Devils” and sweeping epics like “Still Alive” and “Sail Away”, Greg Lilly and Motion Theatre have left no stone unturned in their quest for a sound of their own, with sensibility everyone can enjoy. [+]
