Who is Mr. P Chill?
Some would call him a Sacramento hip hop legend. Others would call him a revolutionary. Some would call him an emcee on a mission. And yet others would call him the essence of hip hop itself. All of those descriptions are true. This Sacramento hip hop vet lays his entire lifetime of experiences on every track, every drop of blood and sweat and every tear shed is a part of what makes his music so real. P Chill is not some emcee hiding behind a partition of lies, but rather a person as real as you. Chill writes of the hardships of the working poor, the pain of heartbreak, the anger of the youth and tries to find solutions to a world gone wrong.
In 1992, P Chill released his first recordings while part of a group in Sacramento, CA. For the next 20 years Chill has continued to grow not only as an emcee, but as a natural born leader. Chill’s philosophy is that he has been given an incredible opportunity to reach the masses with his voice, so he must use his voice for something constructive, not just talk about senseless, random, materialistic things. Having spent the past decade performing up and down the west coast of the United States, both with one of his champion Djs or backed by his live band, Trunk Of Funk, Chill has decided that the time has come to expand even further. After spending the better part of 2011 on the road in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona & New Mexico, plans are in place for a full US tour in the summer of 2012 as well as several regional tours throughout the year. When Chill was not out on the road on tour, he used this time to record and release two albums in the last 12 months, selling countless copies of these two new ones as well as steady sales of his previous solo efforts both at gigs as well as digitally online.
There is a wind of change blowing in hip hop and Mr. P Chill will have that wind at his back as he continues to reach out to fans with his message of peace and equality! [+]
