Michael Wooten (born February 29th, 1996) is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and sound designer from Philadelphia, PA. Growing up in Philly's vibrant end eclectic arts scene, Michael drew influence from a plethora of different places, equally disciplined in classical music and improvisation. At the age of 16, Michael was accepted to Berklee College of Music and began his studies there Fall 2013 on a full-tuition scholarship. At the young age of 19, Michael has worked internationally as a session and touring musician and has had the opportunity to work with artist including, Sheila E, Tia Fuller, Darren Barrett, Sinbad, Ledisi and Terri Lyne Carrington. In his opinion, his biggest musical honors so far have been performing for President Obama, studying with jazz pedagogy master Hal Crook, and performing for Harry Belafonte as he received an honorary doctorate from Berklee.
