Nick Collins

Nick Collins is a project finance and banking lawyer with more than 18 years of experience advising borrowers, sponsors, export credit agencies, banks, multilateral lending agencies, and Islamic finance institutions on complex, large-scale energy, natural resources, and telecommunications projects around the world. He has extensive experience advising on project development and finance matters in the Middle East and, in addition, has substantial experience advising on Middle East commercial finance, debt capital markets, and M&A transactions. Nick also has significant experience working on project development and finance, commercial finance, debt capital markets, and M&A transactions in Africa, the Russian Federation, and Eastern Europe. Over the course of his career, he has worked in London, Hong Kong, and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2015, Nick represented borrowers, sponsors, and lenders on several high-profile LNG projects in the U.K., the Middle East, Africa, and the Russian Federation including: Qatargas II, South Hook LNG Regasification Terminal, Qatargas 3, Brass LNG, Sakhalin LNG, and Nigeria LNG, and on several high-profile mining and metals projects including: Mozambique Aluminium (Mozal), RUSAL, Khakas Aluminium, Sohar Aluminium, Qatar Aluminium, Emirates Aluminium, and Taweelah Aluminium Extrusion.
