Noah Harris

Noah Harris (born August 1, 1981) is an American songwriter, singer, and musician. His songs explore working-class alienation, sexuality, isolation, addiction, love, death, and freedom in the context of inter-personal relationships. Noah’s approach to song has been heavily influenced by folks like George Harrison, Leonard Cohen, John Lennon, Tom Waits, and Elliot Smith; the music carries an existential heaviness which is reminiscent of those influences. There is also, often, an almost breezy sort of pop sensibility to the songs; reminiscent of singers and writers like Rufus Wainwright and Ron Sexsmith. The music of Noah Harris draws on late 60’s psych-rock, early 70’s singer-songwriter, and late 70’s punk-rock; all delivered with a nod to the great american country tradition. [+]
