O Diário do Norte do Paraná Daily is a newspaper daily in standard format published in the city of Maringa , state of the city Paraná . Inaugurated on June 29, 1974, initially had branches in the cities of Arapongas , Umuarama and Cianorte .The newspaper story begins with the purchase of the first offset machine in northern Paraná. Joaquim Dutra, Samuel Silveira and Carlos Piovezan Son associate and founded the Northern Paraná Diary, whose headquarters were in Tuiuti Avenue, 138. The newspaper was housed in an old shed where previously operated a soap factory and because of that, "it was the only newspaper in the world that boasted a chimney," according to testimony one of the first newspaper reporters, Wilson Serra. The first chief editor of Daily was Rubens Avila succeeded by Serra himself.
