Pepper Fandango

Pepper Fandango Band from Charleston WV is a 3-piece rock band fronted by Andrea Anderson, writes songs, sings and plays an electric tenor banjo that she made herself.

Punk and metal influenced bass player Andy Jones and drummer Dave Roberts, known for his subtle polyrhythmic and in-the-pocket grooves, round out the rest of the band.

Their music could be described as blues-based garage rock, with a soulful edge. The lyrics of their songs invoke confessional desperation, feminist indignation, and bad-girl, devil-may-care sass.

As a solo act, Pepper Fandango played the Tinderbox music festival at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, The 9th Annual Highland Jam music festival in Elkins WV, and numerous other local and regional venues.

As a 3 piece band they have played with such bands as the Sweetback Sisters, Seashell Radio, Time and Distance, as well as many other local and regional artists.
They are currently recording an LP, and booking shows for the summer. [+]
