Hi, I'm Pete.
I started my journey in a little Catskill Mountain town called Stamford, NY. Growing up, my grandmother was a local church organist and choir director in the neighboring town of Hobart, where my mom also sang in the choir. She'd occasionally drag me with her, and I'd find myself singing along to hymns to keep from being bored out of my five year old skull. I also grew up with an older sister who played trumpet in the school band and had an affinity for sight-reading piano. Somewhere along the way, I convinced her to teach me a little piano... And so my musical journey began!
Eventually, I stumbled across my mom's CD collection of The Beatles, The Who, The Doors, Neil Young, Cream, etc., and I had to have an electric guitar. In high school, I found myself jamming with my close friends, but none of them wanted to sing. Of course, me being the shy kid, when everyone looked at me, I sort of balked, but I eventually accepted the challenge and became a singer. Of course, if I hadn't, I wouldn't have been able to become the frontman of Dirty Blind, and I wouldn't have such a great outlet for my passion for writing!
So, long story short, I ended up at Berklee College of Music, got a degree in Music Production and Engineering, and fronted the rock band, Dirty Blind, who toured with the classic rock band, Jefferson Starship. I eventually made my way to Nashville, TN to continue my career as a songwriter, folk/rock singer, and music producer! Also, I learned to fly airplanes as a kid, and I teach it, so if you're looking for a singing pilot/flight instructor, you know where to find me. ;-) [+]
