Corey Lamon Chambers (born June 15, 1985) in Mexia Texas, better known as Corey Blaze, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer and actor. Corey started singing in church where he discovered his love and talent for music. He would play the drums and was the lead singer in the church choir under the training of his grandmother, Edith Chambers. Raised as the oldest of six kids, Blaze had to take on a lot of responsibilities in helping his mother Casandra Chambers with his younger siblings. Though his mother worked a lot, she always encouraged him to chase his dreams and shoot for the stars as his biggest supporter. Corey joined the marching band in seventh grade where he learned to play the trombone, baritone, drums and keyboard. He was in the band until his senior year in high school when he turned more attention to playing basketball. When Corey graduated High School, he attended Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas where he discovered his true passion for singing. Corey majored in Music Production where he learned and developed the songwriting that he has displayed throughout his career. He later moved to Dallas to start his musical path. Corey linked up with local rapper slim D and they formed Unleesh’D Ent., which featured the hit songs “She Bad She Know It”, “Loose as a Goose” and “Pound Game”. Corey was nicknamed ‘Freak Show’ at the time due to his smooth vocals and slow jams. He released his mixtape named “The Show” in 2013 which showcased his vocal and musical abilities. Since then, Corey has been working on various projects along with his brother Tevin Chambers, known as T-man, on the beats who produces and creates the beats he sings over. Corey has been working on various projects, including singing, dancing and writing poetry for a few different artists. Until recently, Corey has not been on the scene until he linked up with Keelon to form the up-and-coming RnB group Platinum Edition (PE).
Born in a Big city with Big Dreams, Ar’Keelon Maurtel Curry, better known as Keelon, was destined to be in the spotlight. His mom saw it and quickly started him in the modeling industry. Keelon then landed a gig with Dillard’s at an early age doing runway fashion shows for 3 years. After years of growing up, Keelon started a new journey to be a Triple Threat in the entertainment industry by perfecting his craft in Music, Modeling, and Acting. Keelon Graduated from Barbizon Modeling School in 2005 and went to the MAAI Competition in NYC where he won a total of 4 awards. 1st place in photography and commercial, 2nd place in singing, and 3rd place in soap opera. In NYC, he met with several agencies some from Los Angeles. This is where he linked up with LA Models. Not ready to move on his own to Los Angeles, Keelon passed up the opportunity due to fear. Keelon stayed focused in Dallas and in 2006 signed with the NeVaeh Agency where he met Summer Ayala who saw a star in the making. Keelon stayed in contact with Summer over the years but was focused on having a family and had 2 boys, as well as graduating from KD Actors Conservatory in Dallas Texas. He did several stage plays and was then ready to get back to his all time passion – music. Keelon made it to the 3rd round on American Idol and the 2nd round on X-factor USA. After a lot of rejection and disappointment, it wasn’t until 2014 when Keelon was really going to shine with his fellow band mate Corey Blaze. They linked up to become Platinum Edition (P.E) and joined forces with Summer Ayala (manager) and Devin Northrip (videographer). Platinum Edition is on the rise releasing hits like “Party Party” and “Spotlight” and performing in historical local venues, such as The House of Blues in Dallas.
