Po-Chien Chen

Po-Chien Chen's practice focuses on dispute resolution related to intellectual property rights, administrative law disputes, and disputes against government authorities. He has successfully represented several major IC design houses in intellectual property litigation. Recently, Po-Chien successfully blocked a Taiwanese government probe of two major automobile manufacturers, and he currently represents a leading financial institution, a BOT (build-operate-transfer) project contractor, and others against the government in contractual disputes.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Po-Chien worked at several law firms and a subsidiary of Air China, where he negotiated contracts and analyzed legal and business issues for companies, as well as helping clients find feasible solutions to business conflicts. He also served with Taiwan's Bureau of Investigation and has experience in criminal investigations and national security. With masters degrees in both law and business, Po-Chien is able to handle client matters with precision from both legal and business perspectives. [1]
