Pollywog Crew (Beastie Boys Tribute)

Pollywog Crew formed in August of 2012 shortly after the untimely death of Beastie Boys member and founder Adam Yauch (MCA). Like all of you whom followed the Beastie Boys career, MCA's passing for us was completely devastating. We knew that we would no longer have the opportunity to see and hear them (Beastie Boys) live on stage as three emcee's ever again. That thought alone was daunting, so we did something about it. Each of us have or have had individual side musical projects, and being that we were rappers to begin with, the process of forming Pollywog Crew was made a lot easier.

Pollywog Crew wants to bring you the absolute best representation of the Beastie Boys music, art, and swagger. The Crew takes the art of emceeing very seriously and encapsulate the more refined (Ill Communication) Beastie Boys style, versus the License To Ill persona of the beer chugging, girl chasing party guys.

The Crew also has it's own personal beef with cancer, having had lost close relatives and friends to this terrible decease we felt that we could honor not only our friends and relatives, but one of our childhood hero's in Adam Yauch (MCA). As you may or may not know, the Beastie Boys had evolved into very conscious individuals and had inserted certain beliefs and values behind their rhymes and music. Pollywog Crew believes in those same morals and standards and will strive to keep those ideals and values true in our representation of the Beastie Boys music, as well as in our own personal lives.

At the end of the day, we are Beastie Boys fans JUST LIKE YOU. We are just getting started and we hope that you'll join us in this journey! [+]
