Raimundo Ortega

Raimundo Ortega focuses his practice on competition law, especially in the energy, telecom, and food sectors. He also has extensive experience in regulatory matters in these sectors.

Raimundo advises clients such as ACIE, EDF, KPN, Orange, Schibsted, SES, Total, Villar Mir Energía, and Warner Music before national and EU institutions on competition and regulatory matters. Currently, he is advising on several cartel investigations before the Spanish Competition Authority and the Supreme Court. Raimundo successfully represented Spanish petrol stations before the EC and EU Court of Justice in a state aid case that lasted 14 years. He also recently obtained, for the benefit of several food companies he represented, the closing of a four-year price-fixing cartel investigation by the Spanish Competition Authorities and a settlement in a cartel investigation in the sports sector.
