Rebecca Stellato is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins. Ms. Stellato represents companies and investment banks in public and private securities offerings, including issuances of high yield debt securities, and in mergers and acquisitions, including cross-border and leveraged buyout transactions. She also has experience advising public companies on SEC registration, general corporate governance and compliance issues.
As part of her pro bono practice, Ms. Stellato supports Tahirih Justice Center in offering legal services to immigrant women and girls fleeing from gender-based violence and persecution.
Ms. Stellato is currently Treasurer for the firm’s Multicultural Promotion & Attainment Coalition (MPAC), an associate-driven, grassroots initiative to promote diversity and career development.
Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Ms. Stellato interned for the Honorable Rudolph Contreras of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Ms. Stellato received her BA in Public Policy from Stanford University, where she graduated with honors, and earned her JD from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a member of the Barrister’s Council and the Alternative Dispute Resolution team, as well as a staff writer for the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law.
