Renato Antonini focuses on EU trade and WTO laws relating to trade protection measures and dispute settlement. He has extensive experience in EU and Italian customs and export control law. He also advises clients in EU and Italian competition law, particularly in cartels, state aid, and abuse of dominance issues.Renato has assisted clients in many EU and BRIC trade defence investigations, such as antidumping, antisubsidy, and anticircumvention investigations, as well as a full range of other trade matters, and he has successfully defended clients' interests before governments and courts. Recent matters include the EU antidumping investigation on imports of hollow sections, the Chinese antidumping investigation on imports of market pulp from the U.S., and WTO legal assistance concerning trade barriers in Japan. Renato also advises clients in tariff classification, customs valuation, dual-use goods, and sanctions. Other recent matters include the OLAF investigation on imports of fasteners.
