Renteria 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Shooting Star Vineyard

Renteria’s 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a duo of Napa vineyards: the Steltzner Vineyard within Stags Leap District and the Shooting Star Vineyard within Pope Valley. These two vineyards may produce wines that are very different from each other, but they work well as complimentary styles in this delectable blend. The Steltzner Vineyard fruit brings pretty, elegant notes with dark fruit aromas and soft, velvety tannins, while the Shooting Star site produces a much firmer wine with big, bold tannins and raspberry, herbal aromatics. When blended together to make this 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet, the result is a wine with rich depth and a full but soft palate of concentrated fruit flavors. The Beverage Tasting Institute’s World Wine Championships awards this Renteria Cabernet Sauvignon 92 Points and a Gold Medal: “Very tasty and mouthwatering!” [+]
