Richard D. Milone

Richard Milone has represented corporate policyholders in disputes with their insurers for nearly 25 years, and during that time has helped his clients recover hundreds of millions of dollars in disputed insurance proceeds. He has been identified for several consecutive years in Chambers USA as one of the top policyholder lawyers in the country, where clients have described him as "a fabulous lawyer" and "very precise and persuasive," and commented that "you feel that he is there to protect you, especially when dealing with insurers and their arsenal of lawyers."

Richard has served as lead counsel in insurance recovery lawsuits all over the U.S., and has successfully resolved many claims on behalf of policyholders through negotiations prior to filing litigation. Richard has tried matters before juries and arbitration tribunals, argued cases of first impression in state and federal appellate courts, and negotiated complex/multiparty settlements. He has handled virtually every type of insurance claim, including data privacy, intellectual property liability, antitrust, False Claims Act, false advertising, lead-based paint, hazardous nuclear waste, asbestos, environmental cleanup, employment, defamation, entertainers' tour cancellation, and directors' and officers' liability.
