Robert S. Faxon

Rob Faxon has represented clients in complex matters since joining Jones Day in 1992, including litigation involving corporate control, corporate governance, Ohio's Control Share Acquisition Act, and mergers and acquisitions.

On behalf of clients involved in significant litigation, Rob has appeared in courts throughout the country, federal multidistrict litigation, the Delaware Chancery Court, and the New York and Ohio commercial dockets. He was the lead trial lawyer for a public company in expedited litigation against its merger partner in Delaware Chancery Court in 2013. Rob has obtained significant recoveries on behalf of clients where sellers misrepresented the underlying condition of target companies. He has extensive experience in commercial litigation including Macy's 2013 trial against JCPenny and Martha Stewart in New York. [1]
