Robert W. Gaffey

Bob Gaffey has represented clients at the trial and appellate levels in federal and New York state courts and before arbitration tribunals in cases involving a range of subject areas, including banking, commercial fraud, securities, foreign exchange, product liability, shareholder and partnership disputes, and other commercial matters. Bob is co-leader of the Firm's Securities Litigation & SEC Enforcement Practice.

Bob is an experienced trial lawyer, having tried a number of cases in private practice and during his tenure as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York. He was lead trial counsel in the Firm's representation of Lehman Brothers Holdings in a 35-day trial against Barclays Capital, seeking recovery of up to $13 billion on claims arising from the sale of the Lehman broker-dealer business to Barclays shortly after the Lehman bankruptcy.
