Robin M. Hulshizer

Robin Hulshizer is the Deputy Office Managing Partner of the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins, and a member of the firm's Litigation & Trial and Environmental, Land & Resources Departments. Ms. Hulshizer's practice focuses on complex commercial and environmental litigation at the trial and appellate level, with an emphasis on corporate litigation, including securities matters, contract, copyright infringement, antitrust, employment and toxic torts.

In the business disputes forum, Ms. Hulshizer has extensive trial and court experience, representing various companies in high-stakes commercial litigation, as well as before governmental agencies including the SEC and EPA. She also has long-standing experience in complex insurance litigation.

In the environmental arena, Ms. Hulshizer's experience includes regulatory work, litigation and counseling in connection with financial transactions. In addition to her representation of clients in litigation arising out of the toxic tort and the Superfund/cost recovery arena, her experience includes explosion cases, private cost recovery actions and claims brought by or against federal and state governments. Ms. Hulshizer has also worked on variances and penalty actions for a variety of clients and different industries.

Ms. Hulshizer has served as counsel in numerous complex, multiparty cases as well as class actions and multi-district litigations, in various federal and state courts around the country, including California, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Ms. Hulshizer also serves in a management role at Latham & Watkins as Deputy Office Managing Partner and as a member of the Mentoring and Training Committee. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago and DuPage Bar Associations and serves as the Chicago Chair of "Do The Write Thing," an initiative of the National Campaign to Stop Violence.
