Ron E. Shulman

Mr. Shulman's practice has focused principally on prosecuting and defending patent infringement actions in federal courts throughout the country. He has litigated more than 200 patent cases involving a broad spectrum of subject matter, ranging from simple inventions to more complex technologies, such as integrated circuits, ion implantation equipment, medical devices, computer display terminals, telecommunications equipment, satellite control systems, nuclear fuel claddings and various chemical compositions and processes. Mr. Shulman also has extensive experience in Hatch-Waxman litigation.

Mr. Shulman has served as a member of the Attorney Advisory Committee, which was established by the US District Court for the Northern District of California to draft local rules for the administration of patent infringement actions in the district. He has also served as an attorney representative to the US District Court for the Northern District of California.

Mr. Shulman is a nationally renowned patent trial attorney. He has been recognized by Chambers USA every year since 2004 and lauded as “the star of the show,” “among the best patent trial lawyers in the country,” and “an outstanding patent litigator.” The Daily Journal has repeatedly recognized him as one of the “Leading IP Litigators in California.” Mr. Shulman was also named a patent law expert by Best of the Best USA and one of the 500 Leading Lawyers in America by LawDragon. In 2002, the National Law Journal featured Mr. Shulman as one of the ten top litigators in the country.

Mr. Shulman is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America as well as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
