Ronald Brownstein


Ronald Brownstein is a journalist, historian, and political commentator.


Ronald serves as the political director of Atlantic Media Company where he coordinates political coverage and contributes to the National JournalQuartz, and The Atlantic. He is additionally a senior political and election analyst for CNN.[16]


Ronald was previously a columnist and political correspondent for the Los Angeles Times and a correspondent for National Journal. He is a senior political analyst for CNN and was an ABC News electoral analyst throughout the 2012 election.[0]



The Economist said of Brownstein that he's “one of America’s best political journalists,” and the Washington Post called him “one of the gold-plated names of political journalism who can still shape big-pictures conventional wisdom.”[16]


Ronald is the author of six books, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the 1996 and 2004 presidential campaigns, and is the recipient of 7 journalism awards. [+]
