Ross Keene

Ross Keene has extensive experience advising clients from the United States and Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, and commercial transactions in China. He has been based in China for 10 years, during which time he has represented clients in a number of sectors including energy and resources, financial services, life sciences, telecommunications, media and technology, consumer products, real estate, and manufacturing. Ross also advises major Chinese state-owned and private companies on their overseas acquisitions and other investment projects in Australia and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2013, Ross advised or acted for international resources companies on joint ventures with Chinese state-owned enterprises regarding projects in Australia, Africa, China, and Mongolia; financial services and technology companies on investments and joint ventures in China; a life sciences company on its proposed acquisition of a NASDAQ-listed target with Chinese-based operations; a Fortune 500 company on its restructure across eight Asian jurisdictions; and real estate companies on a range of residential, retail, industrial, and mixed-use development projects in China.
