Sagebrush Annie's 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate

The Sagebrush Annie’s 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from Hogan’s vineyard property he carefully selected back in 1985. He discovered that the high and low temperatures reached during the growing season paired with the quality of the site’s water and soil made a critical contribution to the suitability of the property. The resulting product is the multi award-winning 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon, which took home a Gold Medal from the Los Angeles International Wine Competition and a Gold Medal from the West Cost Wine Competition in Santa Rosa, California. This unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon is deep, dense purple in color and the nose opens with an intense fruit bouquet that makes you anticipate the flavors to come. The wine has a great mouth feel and full body with velvety tannins and a soft, supple, rich texture throughout. Lively flavors of black cherries and raspberries with hints of currants come alive on the palate and follow through to the finish with light mineral influences and herbal spices, which are characteristic notes of the area. A true delight, it’s easy to see why this wine is a Gold Medal winner. [+]
