Sahel Kashani

Sahel Kashani is a banking and finance lawyer with experience in secured and unsecured syndicated and bilateral lending; acquisition, leveraged, project, property, and trade finance; refinancings; and restructurings.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2013, Sahel advised J.P.Morgan as arranger in connection with the financing of a $765 million acquisition facility for Heritage Oil; Viridian Group and its sponsor, Arcapita, in the restructuring of the group and sale of assets; Credit Suisse in the CHF2 billion senior bank, pari passu bond, and subordinated bond financing of Apax's acquisition of Orange Switzerland from France Telecom; Citigroup as arranger in connection with the financing of Enel wind farms; the borrower in the restructuring of a €360 million facility secured on a portfolio of German real estate, including a debt buyback by the sponsor; the syndicate of banks in the Schaeffler restructuring; Société Générale in the refinancing and restructuring of the Esporta Group; investors on the investment and development refinancing of the More London estate; and PwC in the Lehman Brothers insolvency. Sahel also works closely with Middle Eastern companies and has worked in Madrid and Dubai. [1]
