Sara Eisen

Sara Eisen is a correspondent for Bloomberg Television and contributor to “Bloomberg Surveillance,” Bloomberg’s morning program that begins the day’s conversation on business, economics, finance and investment, as well as “Lunch Money,” the network’s noon-hour program covering top news in equities, currencies, bonds, and commodities. Eisen’s reporting on “Bloomberg Surveillance” can be heard starting at 6am ET on Bloomberg Radio, Bloomberg TV and, as well as on Bloomberg’s devices for mobile and tablets. Based in New York City, Eisen specializes in covering global macroeconomics, with a focus on foreign exchange and fixed income markets. She has extensively covered the European debt crisis, interviewing top political leaders and finance ministers from Germany to Greece. She also covered the earthquake and Fukushima crisis on the ground in Japan. Eisen has reported from G20 and IMF meetings around the world and has also interviewed regional Fed presidents Richard Fisher, Eric Rosengren, James Bullard and Charles Plosser. In 2010 and 2012, she reported exclusively from the Santa Colomba Conference at the Siena, Italy home of Nobel Prize-winning economist Robert Mundell.
