Sara Ortega-Roliz serves as Mira Scholars Foundation's executive director. Prior to Mira, Sara worked in West Africa with post-graduate students at an IT and business school and in Southeast Asia with children learning English. Throughout these experiences, she was also employed with a variety of non-profit organizations based in the Bay Area which focused on access to quality health care. Sara lives in San Francisco with her husband, and together they enjoy travelling to new places locally and abroad. Sara received a master's degree in social welfare from UC Berkeley and a bachelor's degree in sociology from George Washington University in Washington, DC. [+]
