"This is made entirely of pinot noir, with 40 percent of the blend being reserve wines from 2009 and 2008. In this wine, Savart includes about 15 percent of the taille, or second portion of the pressing, which gives it a slightly more forward and approachable character: here, a sweet core of sappy, ripe fruit feels fragrant and full in body, underlined by the softly stony minerality typical of Ecueil.
