Sean Greene

Sean Greene is the former associate administrator for investment and special advisor for innovation at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). He led SBA's efforts in stimulating high-growth entrepreneurship and was one of the leaders in the administration's Startup America initiative. Greene was responsible for the Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) program, a growth capital program with more than $18 billion of assets under management. He also oversaw the Small Business Investment Research (SBIR) program, which provides more than $2 billion of research and development funding to small businesses each year. Greene has more than 20 years of private-sector experience as an entrepreneur, investor and business strategist. He was the founder and CEO of, an online travel company that he sold to Orbitz. Greene holds an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management and was a Fulbright Scholar at the National University of Singapore. [+]
